How do you decide which shear to buy? These 3 personalities of cutting will help you select the correct shear for your basic style cutting.
Before you begin, first, measure your thumb length from the crease to the tip and add this to the length of your middle finger. This will give you the ideal length for your shears.
Gorilla Cutter You hold your shears with a tight grip in a thumb up position. The back of your hand is facing your client and the palm is toward you. You probably tend to feel tension in your shoulders and hands. You also have one or more of these characteristics:
You push your fingers far into the finger holes. You may be a lefty who cuts with right handed shears. Your hand strength is unusually strong. You often cut through thick layers of very coarse hair.
